The 2008 edition of the tournament
This second edition of the tournament did welcome 32 teams and 32 adjudicators, from 9 different countries (France, England, Ireland, United States,
Germany, Romania, Turkey, Wales, Holland, Finland).
The debated motions were as follows :
- Round 1 : THW stop private corporations funding universities.
- Round 2 : THW use private military companies to make peace in Darfur.
- Round 3 : THBT jail should be an option when punishing people
who do not pay their debts.
- Round 4 : THBT political leaders should be obliged to have
regular, publicly available medical checks.
- Semi final : THBT superdelegates should not be a part of the US
primary process.
- Final : THBT Western political leaders should boycott the Beijing
Olympics.
The winning team was from the Loyola Marymount University, California.

Only adjudicators with reasonable debating and judging experience were accepted.
There has been 15 min preparation for each debate once the motion is out. Rounds 3 and 4 have been closed and the final has taken place at the prestigious Maison des Essec, in the prestigious 16th district.
On saturday night, after the finals, we headed for a very exciting night in one of the most famous clubs of the capital.
The 2007 edition of the tournament
The Paris Intervarsity was the 1rst edition of our international tournament implemented on a Parisian level.
The motions were as follows :
- First round : THW Nationalize prostitution
- Second round : THBT States where Abortion is Illegal Have the Right to Prevent their Citizens from Travelling Abroad to Have One
- Third round : THW Pay Legal Immigrants to Return to their Country of Origin
- Fourth round : THW Provide Extra Welfare Payment to Impoverished Men and Women if they Agree to be Sterilised
- Final : THBT Terrorist Organizations are Legitimate Democratic Partners
The winners of the tournament were Assen Kochev and Andrew Marshall in the team "Tilford Oxbury". The best speaker of the tab was Marguerite Carter. The full speakers tab and teams tab are available online.
